Hallie L. Smith Obituary (1919 - 2013)

Hallie L. Smith, age 93, of Menomonie, WI, formerly of Connorsville, passed away, Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. He was born November 7, 1919 in the Town of New Haven, Dunn Co. Wisconsin to George and Lela (Johnson) Smith and lived most of his life on a dairy farm near Connorsville, WI. Hallie married Joyce L. Prohl on September 20, 1947 at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, WI. After his wife passed away in August 2009, he moved to the Comforts of Home in Menomonie. Hallie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Memorials can be made to help find a cure for Macular Degeneration. Hallie is survived by his daughter Sharon (Helmut) Eisner of Freeport, FL. He will also be missed by other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Tim Matthaei officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in the Town of Tiffany, Dunn Co. Wisconsin.
