Florence M. Krueger Obituary (1926 - 2010)

FLORENCE M. KRUEGER Florence "Flossie" M. Krueger, age 84, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie. The former Florence Maxine Brensdal was born July 22, 1926 in Fall City, WI to Anton J. and Vernice A. (Owens) Brensdal. As a young girl, Flossie moved with her family to Menomonie, where she graduated from Menomonie High School in 1944. Following graduation, Flossie went to work for the former Kraft State Bank, now M & I Bank in Menomonie where she worked for 40 years. Flossie married Paul "Dick" Krueger on Aug. 25, 1947 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Together they raised three children and were later divorced. She was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, involved in Luther League, Sunday School, the church choir and as secretary and treasurer of the women's group. After retiring, Flossie was also secretary at Our Savior's for a number of years. Flossie was an avid sports fan watching many different sporting events. She especially loved following her children and grandchildren's games. She also loved bowling, playing cards and traveling. Flossie is survived by: Her son, Ronald (Ann) Krueger of Eau Claire Daughter-in-law, Diane Carriveau of Menomonie Grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Krueger of Madison, Ryan and Whitney Krueger of Menomonie and Kali and Bailey Krueger of Eau Claire Great-grandchildren, Marina and Mitchell Krueger A sister, Betty Enersen of Eau Claire Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Vernice Brensdal, daughter Marsha, son Steve, sisters, June (Don) Ponto and Alma (Jim) Jeatran, brother-in-law Burt Enersen and niece Carol Marie Enersen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Roy Harrisville III officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery also in Menomonie. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
