Evelyn Wold Obituary (1915 - 2007) - Menomonie, Wisconsin

EVELYN M. WOLD Evelyn Mae Wold, age 92, of Menomonie, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. Evelyn was born May 2, 1915, in Wilson Township, Dunn County. She was the daughter of Ole and Annette (Aasen) Moen. Evelyn attended Blairmoor County School, Colfax High School, and graduated from Dunn County Normal. She married Elmer Wold on June 6, 1936 in Sand Creek. After teaching school in several Dunn County schools, Evelyn went to work at Sandy Lee's in Menomonie. In 1969, she began working in the Food Service Department at the Dunn County Hospital. She retired from there in 1977. Evelyn is survived by: A daughter, Annette Dahl of Coon Rapids, MN Two sons, Dennis (Lorna) of Downing Barry (Karen) of Elk River, MN 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren, One sister-in-law, Corinne Moen of Menomonie Also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; one son, Larry; four sisters, Alvera, Mabel, Alma and Oliana; two brothers, Norris and Art, and a son-in-law, David Dahl. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. Burial will be at Hay River Lutheran Cemetery, in the Township of Hay River. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at the Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
