Erwin Wiseman Obituary (1913 - 2009)

Erwin E. Wiseman Erwin E. Wiseman, age 95, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009, at Glenhaven Nursing Home in Glenwood City Wisconsin. Erwin Emery Wiseman was born October 24, 1913 in the Sand Creek area of Dunn County to Robert and Helena (Reetz)Wiseman. He married Etta Mae Cartwright on August 29, 1937 in Menomonie, WI. Erwin worked as a Buttermaker and Creamery manager until 1947, he then worked for Uniroyal Tire in Eau Claire retiring in 1974. He was a member of Trinity E.U.B./United Methodist Church in Elk Mound for over 25 years. Erwin belonged to the WI Buttermakers Association and won many awards at buttermaking competitions. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. Erwin is preceded in death by parents, Robert & Helena Wiseman; Son, Brian Wiseman, great-grandson Robert Davis; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; son-in-law, Richard Overn, and Parents-in-law, Leon and Maude Cartwirght. Erwin is survived by wife of over 71 years, Etta; children, Terry of Dunnellon FL., Charleen Ovren of Menomonie WI. and Jodette (Mark) Welke of Colfax WI; grandchildren, Teresa, Ulrica, Theodore, Connie, Robin, Stephen, Angelina, Peter, Lea, Amy, Brian Jr., Kelly and Mark Jr.; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. There will be a funeral Service, Thursday, 11AM at Olson Funeral Home, 615 Wilson Ave. Menomonie WI 54751 with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be held at Waneka Cemetery, twp of Spring Brook, Dunn County, WI.
