Clarice P. Haesly Obituary (1914 - 2014)

Clarice Haesly of Menomonie, WI passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at her home. She was 99 years old. Clarice was born on Christmas day 1914 in Wrenshall, MN to Paul and Bertha (Kamrath) Weber. She attended grade school and high school in Menomonie. She met and married Howard Haesly in 1937. In 1940 they traveled to various states where Howard was employed as a welder in defense plants, while Clarice worked in Red Cross centers. After they divorced, she made it her life’s goal as a single parent to provide for and make a wonderful life for their daughter Sandy. She was very successful and her efforts very lovingly appreciated. Clarice was employed, and retired from the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. She then worked for House Calls and continued to take care of the elderly until she was 87 years old! Clarice was a beautiful lady who loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was very proud of the fact that she lived independently in her home until she was 99, and was very much looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday this Christmas. Clarice was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Sidney, Lester (Odetta) and Lyle (Janet) Weber and a nephew Jack Weber. She is survived by her daughter Sandy (Tim Dotseth), cousin Kenneth Weber, nephews Paul (Judith) Weber, Dick (Patti) Weber, great-nephews Stephen, Kurt, Greg and Kevin Weber and many dear friends. A huge thanks to Dr. Carrie Nelson and her nurse Linda and nurse Jeanie from Dunn County Home Health Care for their TLC. Also thank you to Pastor Geoff Scott, Menomonie Ambulance crew and Officer Jim Jasicki for their compassion. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is handling arrangements for a private service. Anyone wishing to give a memorial in Clarice’s memory can do so to the charity of their choice.
