Cheri Wheeler Obituary (1966 - 2010)

Cheri M. Wheeler, age 44, of Menomonie, WI; died, Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home with her family by her side following a seven month battle with cancer. She was born February 23, 1966 in Menomonie, WI. to Brian & Sue (Timm) Wheeler. Cheri spent most of her life in Menomonie, WI. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1984 and then earned a bachelors degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. After college, Cheri lived and worked in Detroit, MI, Minneapolis, MN, Phoenix, AZ and the San Francisco Bay Area. She worked at Office of General Counsel at 3M headquarters in St Paul before transferring to Human Resources Dept at 3M in Menomonie. Cheri loved starting out her day going for coffee. She was very active, attending her son Brian's sporting events and activities. Cheri had a passion for running, especially running the Red Cedar trail with her dad. She loved to share her love of physical fitness with friends. Everyone who met Cheri, were drawn in by her infectious smile and laugh. She is survived by the love of her life, son, Brian Wheeler, parents, Brian & Sue Wheeler of Menomonie, brother, Scott ( Sabine) Wheeler of Menomonie, aunts, Nancy (Marv) Kraft-Lansing of Knapp, Sherry (Joe) Brehm Boulder CO, Gwen Lawrence of Denver CO, Millie Timm of Menomonie and Melanie (Dennis) Popple of Bloomer WI; uncles Patrick (Gayle) Timm of Bellevue WA and Mark (Deb) Wheeler of Oakdale MN; grandparents, Leigh & Donna Wheeler of Chippewa Falls WI; cousins, "Sistas", numerous pets and many, many friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis & Marion Timm, uncles, Barry Timm, Lyle Kraft and cousin Chris Lawrence. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 4-7 P.M. at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI.
