Charlotte E. Jackson Obituary (1911 - 2007)

CHARLOTTE "COOPIE" E. JACKSON Charlotte "Coopie" E. Jackson, age 96, of Menomonie, WI entered in eternal rest Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. The former Charlotte E. Johnson was born July 11, 1911 in Menomonie, WI to Edgar and Odie (Olson) Johnson. After starting her career in Chicago, she moved back to Menomonie and worked as a Deputy Clerk of Court in the Dunn County Clerk of Court office from 1961 until retiring in 1977. Coopie is survived and lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law Bob Linsenmeyer of Phoenix, AZ; her niece Darlene "Susie" (Stuart) Melton of Phoenix, AZ; and her lifelong friend Harry Halvorson and family. She was a great-aunt to Stuart Melton Jr., Kristen and Michele Melton all of Phoenix and great-great-aunt to Ashley, Jayden, Jacob, Devin and little Charlotte. Coopie had a great sense of humor and was a sensational storyteller. She will be missed by surviving cousins and her many life-long friends, especially the Peil family and her wonderful friend and helper, Kathy Siler. She was preceded in death by her son Rodman Jackson, her sister Dolores "Tudi", her brothers Gerald and Allen "Pete Boy" and her niece Geraldine. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie with Pastor Paul Pillman officiating.
