Catherine "Cathie" Thibado Obituary (1956 - 2013)

Catherine "Cathie" L. Thibado, age 57 of Downsville/Menomonie, WI died Friday, November 22, 2013. Cathie was born June 25, 1956 in Menomonie, WI to Charles L. and Leatus M. (Turner) Thibado. She graduated from Menomonie High School and went on to further her education. Cathie lived in or near Downsville all her life with the exception of two years. She loved the "town", the people, everything about the area and she came "home", never to leave again. Over the years Cathie worked at several places but she was a "lead" in her department at Myrtle Werth Medical Center, working there for over seventeen years. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren and they were the most important things in her life!! She loved the outdoors, which was evident by her love of motorcycle riding, camping and anything that had to do with being on the water. After a long week of work, Cathie enjoyed spending "Friday night with friends." Cathie is survived by her loving companion of eighteen years and soul mate, Richard Brunn of Downsville; two children, Travis (Samantha Haushalter) Joncas of Menomonie and Lacey (Chad Binkowski) Joncas of Elk Mound; mother, Leatus Thibado of Downsville; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Carter Joncas, Colton, Shane and Chase Johnson and Rowen Binkowski; two sisters, Connie (James) Newman and Mildred (Roland) Kistner; one brother, Robert (Kay) Thibado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Thibado; and two brothers, James and Marshall Thibado. Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville with Pastor Dale Moe officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, Dunn Township, Dunn County, Wisconsin. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
