Beatrice Batchelder Obituary (1940 - 2011)

Beatrice H. Batchelder, age 71 of rural Menomonie, WI died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. She was born June 23, 1940 in Kenosha, WI to William and Marie (Badandyke) Borsche. Earlier in her life, Beatrice worked as a telephone operator. She also ran a daycare from her home and did a lot of babysitting. On August 2, 2003 Beatrice married Kenneth Batchelder at New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville, WI. When Bea and Ken met she had said how much she loved the outdoors, so after their marriage they made their home in the country north of Downsville. Beatrice loved to do word and crossword puzzles while she held her pet cat, Butterball. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Menomonie where she participated in Skip-Bo and Kings Corner but really liked her Bingo. She had quite a sense of humor and loved her life with Ken. She is survived by her husband, Ken Sisters, Elsie and Joyce A brother Bob Sister-in-law Dora Hanson Brothers-in-law, Dean, Lynos and Larry Batchelder Nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville with Pastor Steven Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
