Arvilla Fletcher Obituary (1913 - 2006)

ARVILLA M. FLETCHER Arvilla M. Fletcher, age 93, of Menomonie, WI died Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Area Nursing Home in Colfax. The former Arvilla Marie Hake was born January 26, 1913 in Platteville, WI to Jesse and Laura (Cannon) Hake. She married Alan C. Fletcher July 24, 1931 in Stillwater, MN. Arvilla and Alan lived on Tainter Lake near Menomonie for several years before moving to Minneapolis where they lived from 1945 until 1949. Arvilla was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #202 in Minneapolis for 50 years. They returned to the Tainter Lake area and Arvilla has resided there most of her life. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Arvilla has resided at the Area Nursing Home in Colfax the past nine years. Arvilla loved wildlife and spending time on the deer farm in Delta, WI. She also enjoyed gardening, her flowers and bird-watching. And she loved her dog, Princess. Arvilla is survived by: Her son, George W. (Elizabeth) Fletcher of Clam Lake, WI A grandson, George W. Fletcher Jr. Two granddaughters, Cathy (Mike) Bellesbach of Trempealeau, WI Jenny (Gary) Lorenzen of Forest Lake, MN Four great-granddaughters, Stephanie Lorenzen, Crystill (Dave) Boomgarden, Amy Lorenzen and Danielle (Mike) Olson Six great-great-grandchildren, Devin, Emma, Jonathan, Brennan, Cole and Maysen And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her Mother, Laura Hoimyr, her father Jesse Hake, two brothers, Oscar Hake and Merlin Hake, a sister, Hazel Hayes, an infant son, Alan Fletcher, and her step-father, Jack Hoimyr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2006 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Rev. Dave Whelan officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie.
