Adeline M. Lee Obituary (1913 - 2007)

ADELINE M. LEE Adeline M. Lee, age 94, of Menomonie, WI died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie. The former Adeline Mary Baker was born January 13, 1913 in Menomonie, WI to Frederick and Helena (Korbein) Baker. She was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School and Dunn County Normal School. Adeline taught for one year at Amy School in the Twp. of Spring Brook before her marriage. She married Robert Edwin Lee on Dec. 30, 1932. After their marriage, Adeline and her husband farmed in the Elk Mound area until 1968 when Robert died. Adeline then moved to Menomonie and resided with her son David. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Elk Mound and the church circle. She was also one of the original members of the Elk Meadow Homemakers. Adeline was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by: Two sons and one daughter, Robert E. (Gwen) Lee of Eau Claire Judith (Gerald) Skaar of Pardeeville David Lee of Menomonie 8 grandchildren, Robert (Cindy) Lee of Walker, MN, Dennis (Linda) Lee of Augusta, Douglas (Jan) Lee of Eau Claire, Janice (Bob) Lauer of Cedarburg, Randall (Chris) Lee of Augusta, Rochelle (Kerry) Ohnesorge of Mosinee, Richard (Kris) Skaar of Greensboro, NC and Renee (Kyle) Ades of Browns Summit, NC 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren A sister-in-law, Florence Brown of Menomonie A special niece, Lorraine Gralow of Menomonie And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Lee; 6 brothers, William, Edward, Herman, Alfred, Elmer and Otto; and 4 sisters, Lillian, Dala, Mabel and Lydia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elk Mound with Reverend Margaret DeMaris officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Elk Mound, Dunn Co., WI. Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday.
